RRB ALP 2026 Date of Birth Criteria
As per the official RRB ALP 2026 notification, candidates must be born between the following dates to satisfy the prescribed age limit criteria. Both dates are inclusive.

How to Calculate Age for RRB ALP 2026
Candidates should note that the date of birth mentioned in the application form must exactly match the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation / SSLC / 10th certificate or equivalent qualification certificate.
Any mismatch during Document Verification may lead to disqualification.
As per the official RRB ALP 2026 notification, the reference date for age calculation is 01 July 2026.
For example, if a candidate’s date of birth is 01 February 2001, then the candidate will be 25 years and 5 months old as on 01 July 2026, making the candidate eligible under the standard RRB ALP age limit criteria.
Who Is Not Eligible Based on Age?
- Candidates whose date of birth is after 01 July 2008 are below the minimum age limit and are not eligible for RRB ALP 2026.
- Candidates who exceed the prescribed maximum age limit and are not eligible for age relaxation cannot apply for the recruitment process.
- For UR (including OBC-CL) and EWS candidates, the date of birth should not be earlier than 02 July 1996.
